Howard Marsh is a 1,000-acre wetland project, located adjacent to the Metzger Marsh State Wildlife Area in a region that also includes Maumee Bay State Park, Magee Marsh State Wildlife Area and the Ottawa National Wildlife Refuge.Come spend an hour or a half day exploring the six miles of water trail on a kayak or tandem kayak. Check out the egrets, blue herrings, lily pads, and other abundant wildlife up close and personal. This area is also well known for their concentration of songbirds, or warblers, especially during spring migration.
